WHAT IS EPINARD RETREAT?

We are a Japanese family offering a unique homestay, welcoming guests seeking much more than just a place to stay. That is why we created Epinard Retreat, where many creatives gather to learn new things and share their talent.

Check here our upcoming retreats and choose from either a 3-day or 7-day experience. Together with 10 peers from many different countries, you will live together in our intricately designed house and together experience firsthand Japanese culture, as well as learn about everyone else’s cultures. Each day, you will eat all three delicious meals together, cooked and prepared by Ikuko, the mother of the family. During the rest of the day, you will participate together in a variety of cultural activities around the area, from surfing at the beach to learning calligraphy to making udon. In the evening, you will participate in collaborative artistic workshops and reflection. Through the course of the entire retreat, you will create meaningful bonds with our family and the other members of the retreat. Our previous guests have gone on to stay in touch or reunite in different countries. From your experience, you’ll leave with an entirely new “Earth Family”, made at Epinard Retreat!
